The Paramedic Games Edition 2008 will be
the beginning of a Paramedic Tradition.
Just like the World Police and Fire Games (W.P.F.G) and the World
Fire Games (W.F.G), our games will be held every two years.
However, The Paramedic Games are different competitions. These
competitions will provide a chance to Paramedics across Canada to
demonstrate skills and abilities to save a human life. These skills
and abilities require good judgement, agility, adaptation and team
work.
The Paramedic Games are created by paramedics
for paramedics and are dedicated to all present and future Paramedics
across Canada and to all other worldwide paramedics who put their
hearts and souls into saving lives of other people.
We would like to dedicate the Paramedic Games Edition 2008
to all the Canadian paramedics civilian and military who have died
in the line of duty.
YOU HAVE MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE IN SAVING
AND PROTECTING THE PUBLIC.
We would also like to dedicate the Paramedic Games to all
the Montreal city paramedics ON and OFF DUTY who were directly or
indirectly affected by the DAWSON COLLEGE School shooting on September
13th 2006. You have acted as Tactical paramedics without
body armor or defensive weapons.
YOU HAVE RISKED YOUR OWN LIFE TO SAVE OTHERS.
Finally, we would like to dedicate the Paramedic Games to
our Montreal and Laval cities deceased emergency partners:
To Valerie Gignac (badge # 803), Police Officer from Laval Quebec,
who was killed in the line of duty December 14th 2006.
To Marcel Marleau from Fire Station # 48, Montreal Firefighter Captain,
who was killed in the line of duty January 2nd 2007.
To Daniel Tessier (badge # 523), Police Officer from Laval Quebec,
who was killed in the line of duty March 2nd 2007.
To Marco Ouellet (badge # 6469), Paramedic from Urgences Santé
Québec, who died tragically on October 25th 2007.
